Dr. Parviz Kavoussi Presents with a National Webcast on Robot Assisted Vasectomy Reversal during the 2014 Drive for Men’s Health

The 2014 Drive for Men’s Health is a national men’s health initiative where Dr.’s Sijo Parekattil and Jamin Brahmbhatt will drive 1,100 miles from Florida to New York City in an all electric Tesla, stopping along the way to charge and to talk to men across the country about men’s health. They have selected top physicians from around the world to interview on their specific topics of expertise in men’s health. They have selected Dr. Parviz Kavoussi from Austin Fertility & Reproductive Medicine to provide a discussion, which will be streamed live, regarding the use of robot assistance for vasectomy reversal. Dr. Kavoussi is one of the leading surgeons in the world applying this technology to vasectomy reversal.

Dr. Kavoussi states, “It is a real pleasure to be involved with this initiative.  Men typically do not like to go to the doctor, even for issues like blood pressure or injuries, much less for some of these very sensitive problems.  As a specialist in male infertility, I see this is a particularly difficult aspect of health for men to tackle.  I am very happy to be able to talk about one aspect of this, the robot assisted vasectomy reversal, during this drive.”  The drive for men’s health will support research and scholarships for future health leaders.
