Parviz K. Kavoussi, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Parviz Kavoussi grew up in the Austin area and returned to practice here after having completed his residency in urology and a 2-year fellowship in reproductive urology/andrology: male infertility/reproductive medicine/microsurgery (vasectomy reversals/sperm retrievals) at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. This was one of only 5 such fellowship positions in the country at the time. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Austin Fertility & Reproductive Medicine/Westlake IVF is the only fertility center in Austin with fellowship trained specialists in male and female infertility and reproductive medicine. Dr. Kavoussi received his M.D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and subsequently completed his residency training at Scott & White Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kavoussi’s publications have included textbook chapters, as well as peer-reviewed articles in multiple peer reviewed journals and he has taught multiple post-graduate courses at national meetings.

Dr. Kavoussi is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin and an adjunct assistant professor in the department of urology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, and has been selected as an expert to peer review manuscripts for publication in multiple medical journals. He has compiled and is the editor in chief of the first textbook of Clinical Urologic Endocrinology and has written multiple chapters in Campbell-Walsh textbook of Urology which is universally considered the “bible” of urology.
