Louise Brown, the first person to be born after having been conceived via IVF, is featured as a speaker at the 73rd annual American Society for Reproductive Medicine meeting. “Louise Brown has been an inspiration to millions of patients and health care providers since the day she was born in 1978” states Dr. Shahryar Kavoussi. “It was a true pleasure and honor to meet her.  Even by speaking with her for a brief amount of time, it is obvious that she is a wonderful person and is so down-to-earth.” Dr. Robert Edwards and Dr. Patrick Steptoe were the medical pioneers that helped Louise Brown’s parents have their two daughters, Louise having been the first person in the world to be born after having been conceived via IVF.
