A varicocele is an abnormal dilation of veins around the testicle which can cause cellular harm and worsen a man’s fertility. Dr. Parviz Kavoussi recently co-authored a meta-analysis along with respected experts in the field worldwide. The results further supported what has been established that surgically repairing a varicocele can improve semen analysis results in infertile men. Dr. Kavoussi states, “As the most common correctable cause of male infertility being a varicocele, this data further drives the need for repair in infertile men with abnormal semen parameters.”
