As more men wait until later in life to build their families and increasing numbers are being diagnosed with low testosterone at younger ages, there is a large overlap between the two populations. Dr. Parviz Kavoussi was invited to lecture at the Texas Urological Society meeting and moderate the session on management of low testosterone.
Dr. Kavoussi stated, “This was a great opportunity to educate fellow urologists not only on the options for treatment of testosterone deficiency, but also about the importance of selecting therapies that preserve fertility. Traditional long-acting testosterone replacement therapies can suppress sperm production, making fertility-preserving treatment options especially important for men who wish to maintain their reproductive potential.”
