Dr. Dan Lebovic completed a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (board certified in REI). He was raised and educated in California, although he has been fortunate enough to enjoy other great towns in the USA throughout his career. After his fellowship, he obtained tenure at the University of Michigan, where he performed NIH-supported research on endometriosis. He then moved to the University of Wisconsin–Madison as the REI Division Chief, where he became full professor and successfully rebuilt their IVF program. He has authored a handbook entitled “Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility: Handbook for Clinicians” and has contributed chapters to reproductive medicine textbooks as well as Up-To-Date®, a peer-reviewed online publication for physicians. Dr. Lebovic is an Oral Board Examiner with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been appointed to serve on American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (ACOG) committees: Committee Practice Bulletins-Gynecology and the Clinical Document Review Panel – Gynecology.
As the son of immigrants (including a Holocaust survivor), Dr. Lebovic was raised to value hard work, honesty and integrity. He strives to be available for any questions that may come up because he firmly believes half the battle is understanding the reasoning behind diagnostic tests as well as the chosen treatment. By gaining a better understanding of what lies ahead, Dr. Lebovic hopes patients can gain more trust and enthusiasm, ultimately leading to a successful outcome. Persistence is key, and Dr. Lebovic aims to balance optimism/hope with realistic expectations to assist patients in what can be a very arduous process.
His clinical interests in the field of reproductive medicine include the following:
• Ovulation Induction / Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
• In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
• Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
When he’s not at work, Dr. Lebovic enjoys sports, biking, riding his ~20 year old Vespa and unwinding with his wife and family: A Juilliard School-trained violinist wife, two children, and a Bernese Mountain Dog (who may one day be joined by a German Shorthaired Pointer).Download Dan I.
