Dr. K.M. Kavoussi, Medical Director of Westlake IVF, has been providing care for infertility and gynecology patients in the Austin area for over 30 years. After his residency training at the Bayview campus of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Maryland. He has extensive experience performing laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures such as:

Dr. Shahryar Kavoussi grew up in the Austin area and has returned to practice here after having completed his residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a 3 year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. His clinical interests in the field of reproductive medicine include the following:

Parviz K. Kavoussi, M.D.
Dr. Parviz Kavoussi grew up in the Austin area and returned to practice here after having completed his residency in urology and a 2-year fellowship in reproductive urology/andrology: male infertility, sexual medicine, and microsurgery (vasectomy reversals/sperm retrievals) at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology. Austin Fertility & Reproductive Medicine is the only fertility center in Austin with fellowship trained specialists in male and female infertility and reproductive medicine. Dr. Kavoussi received his M.D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and subsequently completed his residency training at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, Scott & White Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kavoussi’s publications have included textbook chapters, as well as peer-reviewed articles in multiple journals. He also has taught post-graduate courses at national meetings and has a seat on the American Society of Andrology Public Affairs and Policy Committee to guide and promote the best clinical practices in the fields of male infertility and sexual medicine.
Dr. Kavoussi is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin and has been selected as an expert to peer review manuscripts for publication in the Journal of Sexual Medicine as well as infertility and sexual medicine manuscripts in the Journal of Urology. He has compiled and is the editor in chief of the first textbook of Clinical Urologic Endocrinology.
